Top 20 of 2020 The Guardian

BBC audio Drama award (Nommed)

In 2018 I went to go and see kill the Beast perform Don’t wake the damp at the soho theatre on the recommendation of tom Crowley (champman, wooden Overcoats). I loved it, I approached them and asked if they had any scripts. Shortly after Tash Hodgson sent me a draft of something she’d been working on called ‘sleep with me’ it was the best spec script I’d ever read.

I raved about it to Jason Phipps at bbc Sounds and he championed it, and eventually commissioned it.

It’s a show about dreams, and being a teenager, and jealousy, and every man’s desire to have sex with a giraffe.

We made it during the pandemic leading to the one of the most involved and intense working dynamics I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of.

Tash and Most of Kill the Beast are on Broadway now in Operation Mincemeat. Alice Lowe our narrator just released Timestalker. Jason Forbes and Celeste are in Judd apatow comedies and david elms is describing rooms to rapturous applause.

i feel incredibly lucky to have worked with these people on this thing at an opportune time. When anyone asks me what stuff I’ve made, I show them this. I’m so proud of it.

I heard recently that it’s being taught in a scriptwriting course at London College of communications.

brilliantly unsettling - The Guardian

a wonderfully weird genre-bending delight. - Stylist magazine

The Sink is so good – “laugh-out-loud funny” yet strangely unsettling – you won’t want to miss any of it - THe Week

a remarkably complex work... An absolute corker, this one. 5* - Cambridge Geek
